Knights of Reason is a community-oriented clan founded by Czar, Wire, and Worm on November 11th, 2007. Initally and still primarily being a tremulous clan, KoR was founded because Wire and Worm did not like the secrecy behind the administration of the Fallen Angels clan. Stewie, the longest lasting administrator, joined the administration of KoR after being the sole global moderator of the clan until March of 2008, thus bringing the administrators to the traditional number of four. Back then, global moderators were in charge of promotions and controlling clan members on the server. Shortly after Stewie got promoted, three global moderators took his place: 2nerdy4u, Monk, and Toph.

KoR experienced a massive growth between 2007 and late 2008, reaching our peak of 48 members in this time period. But, tragically and with a bang, a year after the founding of the clan, Worm left on November 13th, 2008. Wire followed only to rejoin and quit again after a short period. Their reason for quitting was due to a financial dispute with Czar, whom was Wire's roommate for a period of time. Wire and Worm's departure nearly killed the clan, taking more than 15 clan members with them, including a current admin, Metal. However, all hope was not lost for KoR, as two administrators that had previous taken a back seat to Wire and Worm stepped up to save it, Czar and Stewie that is.

With information from Stewie on November 10th, 2010

Stewie had decided that two admins were needed to pick up the slack Worm and Wire left, in particular the coding and maintenence slack. At the time, I, Aaron, was no longer in the clan. To be honest, I'm not even sure how Stewie had gotten in contact with me. I had rage quit (there really is no better way to put it for all the drama I caused) with a multipage parting topic that had stirred KoR up quite a bit. Nevertheless, Stewie asked me to become an administrator around November 15th, 2008. I was initally not wanting to become and administrator. I was completely fed up with KoR and still angsty about leaving. I told him to give me a week and I'd tell him after that. I seriously spent that whole week considering his offer. After a week, on Saturday, November 22nd, I agreed to join under the condition that Czar wanted me to join too. I was dragged in game and he asked Czar for me, who accepted. Had a pleasant conversation and that was that. I was an admin. Somehow ProfessorF, one of the original members, also became an administrator at the time. I think I had some part in that.

Nevertheless, still dissatisfed with the administration and state of the clan, more members continued to part, but eventually we hit a balance of about 30 members. Things went very well for us then. Czar and Stewie went back to their hiatus and ProfessorF and I reformed KoR. Setting forth new, controversial rules (which I believe were a great improvement from the old, 25 rules), reforming the clan back to the traditional structures, and implementing clear, defined policies for subordinites AND administrators to follow. Additionally we sent open invites out to everyone who quit because of the administrators leaving. These were a few of the major things we accomplished through the new administration.

Sadly, however, the administrative shuffle was not yet over. On May 30th of 2009, after a month of inactivity, our domain of knightsofreason.org randomly started pointing to tremdating, a site of Wire's. This was due to Czar no longer wanting to pay for the site (and not telling us), so he pointed the domain at Wire's server. Luckily, I had been anticipating his departure; I had started a KoRPS substitute, had bought a host and a domain, knightsofreason.net, and had a copy of the forums set up for about a month. So the transition went as smooth as you could expect it from, for moving to a server from a host of 2 years. After getting that set up I went on a programming frenzy, and at the same time released KoRx 0.3, dubbed new KoRx, at the time, based on Trepidus. I additionally did a lot of work to build KoRPS up to the luster of the one Wire had built (and beyond).

Now that Czar had left, we decided that it was time to fill his shoes with someone who may actually be useful. So, after 2 months, on July 17th, 2009, we voted, and after much debate, decided on B-e-t-a. An excellent choice, but due to having a life, we had to demote to moderator until he could come back. Metal, a great guy that I can barely agree with, is now his full time replacement (with no chance of his spot being taken back). I never thought he would be in this place. Funny, because a when he first joined I thought he was going to report me for abuse on multiple occasions. I did not like him at all.

When I first joined the clan I had a warm welcome by all of the clan members. I doubt as many of them knew me, but they decided to give me a chance; They would not regret it. Six months later I decided I had enough of the clan, because at the time Worm, WireDD, and Czar were not setting the best example, and not making the best decisions for the clan and the community. After I left, a few people followed me but eventually came back to the clan. A few months later, I decided my break was over and wanted to be the best I could be for KoR. I always took in suggestions from my peers, until I learned my way around being a moderator. Eventually, I was promoted to Moderator, but decided to leave again after a few weeks being a mod. At the time KoR was going through a lot internally since there was a lot of abuse going on, even by the admins at the time. Worm and WireDD broke off and formed RandomKeywhacking. So, I decided to follow them to see how things would turn out. I learned quickly that RK was not the clan for me. I found myself back in KoR, but this time I shot straight to the top. A few month's later Aaron5367, Stewie, and ProfessorF decided that some changes needed to be made in our staff. That some inactive members should be weeded out some top moderator positions. To my surprise, I was one of the few that were promoted to a position which would prove to require more responsibility. I was an finally an Administrator.

During my time as an Administrator I had to make some changes to my attitude. I felt like I was on trial, I needed to prove myself worthy to the Council. I knew where I needed improvement. Eventually, the admins started to trust me, then I realized that I had it. I could relax. I have not witnessed any major changes to KoR since I got Admin. However, change is approaching.

We at KoR want the community to know that we want to be fair with everyone and that we are always taking your suggestions/opinions into consideration, even if they are silly most of the time. We are a family, we like to take in new recruits and show them that we are not just cruel moderators, we're real good friends. Who knows what KoR has in store for its future? I can assure you KoR is going to continue growing and expanding. Just like a family.
