I told khnarov that he could come on over and post about UNV in our forums. It's looking great so far... Brings back memories of Tremulous for sure. Hopefully it'll make dozens more for Unvanquished! Thanks for coming over and posting this khnarov.

Are people still using netradiant for map building? Is it possible to use anything more modern for mapping?

Yes, people are using radiant, but we've improved on what we've inherited. Technically speaking you should be able to use something like Blender too, but I haven't seen anyone pull that off yet.

We've had Mac support for ages, but whether or not it'll run on your Mac is entirely dependent on your hardware. If it's recent, there shouldn't be a problem. Make sure that your graphics card can run at least OpenGL 2.1.

As for the mapping question, yes, Blender should be possible, although you may run into normal mapping problems on meshes and you'll still need brushes for vis stuff. Besides that, for mappers, we have support for normal/specular maps, all of our textures are in convenient texture packs, color grading with area weighting, reverb sound effects, and more. Plus, our new filesystem helps with versioning.

Got pretty ridiculous at some points. Turned into a 3v3 later, didn't it? On Niveus? Whether it was a testament to the players' skill or that the game is pretty balanced at the moment I know not, but no matter what happened on that Niveus game neither us aliums nor tha hoomanz could get a leg up on the other until the humans holed up in the box room and us aliens got to Advanced Marauder and Advanced Dragoons. It was all over but the screaming by that point.

You guys should at least give it a try. It's the closest we're getting to a true Tremulous 1.2 (since the original developers have pretty much abandoned it), and I'd love to play our "Tremulous" with KoR again. I can try to be on the Training Server or the official NA server as much as I can, but I think this would go smoother if an agreed upon time/server could be made.

Yea, TS is a pain to install on linux. :(

A good alternative would be mumble or vent. But I know you probably paid for your TS server.

Had a great turn out for us as far as a our community goes. We had Me, Voss, Qweefzilla, Glameow playing. Unvanquished peaked at around 20 people at one time playing. Thanks guys!

Yeah It was fun. I didn't know how to build right because the leech and you dont get your bp instantly ?! so I need to relearn but other wise had a blast.

Having played a bit, I must say that I absolutely hate the momentum system. Hate. It seems to stagnate games way too much, especially if there aren't that many people playing in the game.

Other than that, I love the game (I do miss some of the things from korx though).
